Vingroup, a comprehensive company focused on retail, real estate and development, will open VinAI Research, which focuses on artificial intelligence (AI), to increase Vietnam's presence in the world of AI.

According to Vingroup, VinAI Research will explore fundamental applications such as image processing, language and speech recognition, and communication between users.

We plan to develop young engineers into top AI experts in Vietnam and contribute to the parent company in the future.

The new AI Research Center will be chaired by Bui Hai Hung.
Hung has spent the last 20 years researching AI in Silicon Valley and is a former senior AI expert at Google. In addition, he was an editorial member of a magazine specializing in artificial intelligence.

VinAI Research is managed by VinTech, a technology division of Vingroup. Vingroup has established VinTech, Big Data Research Institute, etc.
