Here we have compiled a list of apartments that allow pets. This list was created assuming that you have a pet dog that needs to be walked.
When I was little, I had a sheltie. Recently, we had a family who kept a large dog weighing about 40 kg decide to rent a property.

Recently in 2024, pet hospitals and pet shops have opened and become more common, mainly in the Tao Dien area of District 2 and the school district area of District 7.
We hope that you will find this information useful when selecting an apartment, along with the Ho Chi Minh area map and school bus stops.

Q. Are there many pet-friendly rental properties in Ho Chi Minh City?
Pet-friendly properties are gradually increasing in Ho Chi Minh City, but they are still very rare, especially in the central areas of District 1 and District 3. Districts 2 (Thao Dien) and 7 (Phu My Hung) have a relatively large number of pet-friendly properties, and the number of pet hospitals and pet shops has also increased in recent years.
Q. Are there any restrictions on the breed or size of dogs and cats?
It varies depending on the property. Many properties only allow small dogs and cats, and in many cases, large dogs weighing over 20kg are not allowed. There may also be restrictions on the number of pets allowed (only one) or the breed of dog, so it is essential to check before viewing the property.
Q. Are there any additional fees when renting a pet-friendly property?
In most cases, a separate pet deposit is required in addition to the regular security deposit. This is typically equivalent to 1-2 months' rent and will be refunded upon vacating the property if there is no damage caused by the pet.
Q. Can I find out if pets are allowed before viewing the property?
Yes. At Suzuki Real Estate, we check whether pets are allowed or not for each property before showing them to you. If you let us know the type, weight, and number of pets in advance, we can narrow down our suggestions to properties that meet your requirements.
Q. Are there any pet-friendly properties where the Japanese school bus stops?
Yes, there are. City Garden (Binh Thanh District) and Estella Heights (District 2) are pet-friendly properties with bus stops for the Japanese school. Midtown (District 7), within walking distance of the Japanese school, is also popular. These are popular with families who want to balance their children's school commute with pet ownership.
