A Russian friend went from Vietnam to Russia. war or something. [What happened in Thao Dien]
Our office is located in Tao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City.
Tao Dien, District 2 of Ho Chi Minh City, is a very interesting place where people from all over the world live and work in Vietnam. From the Vietnamese perspective, as a Japanese person, I am one of those foreigners. As with our Vietnamese staff, we have naturally made friends with Americans, Russians, Filipinos, Chinese, and Taiwanese who we often go out drinking with. The common languages were English and Chinese, but everyone other than the Americans was a non-native, so we had fun and deepened our friendships.
On the main topic, one of my fellow Russians will be traveling to Russia tomorrow, September 26th.
This is a conscription order that has been a hot topic in the news.
The other day, I had drinks at a Japanese izakaya with five of my friends, including him, and it was a very sensitive drink.
Of course, it was friendly and we were joking around, but he didn't want to make the atmosphere too heavy, so we started talking about things like what was the truth and when he would be coming back.
My personal feeling is that rather than 300-100,000 people being called up as reservists, I feel that the number is much higher. More than 70 years have passed since the Pacific War, and there are fewer Japanese people who have experienced such things as conscription and volunteer service.I am in my 30s, so stories like this are my grandfather's. The only thing I could do was ask someone to tell me about it, but this one thing opened my eyes.
I hope that he will come back to Vietnam with a smile on his face, and that we will be able to work hard together, even though our business goals are different.
