student, is kidnapped and taken to China on his way to Muong Khuong with a friend and his family who have been with him for a year, forcing her to marry a stranger. It was. Lin was later found to be a broker whose friends and family would introduce women to China.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rin, who was sent to China, was scared of being raped and had no choice but to become a Chinese wife. Lin had to obey what the Chinese said, and in some cases was beaten. According to the Blue Dragon Children&#039;s Foundation, a charity based in Hanoi, this trend is unstoppable because human trafficking can make a lot of money.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to Vietnam&#039;s Ministry of Public Security, more than 3,000 people were trafficked between 2012 and 2017, primarily women and children. However, these are just official numbers, and in reality it is estimated that there will be many times more damage.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E3%83%99%E3%83%88%E3%83%8A%E3%83%A0%E4%BA%BA%E3%81%AE%E5%A5%B3%E6%80%A7%E3%81%8C%E9%80%A3%E3%82%8C%E5%8E%BB%E3%82%89%E3%82%8C%E3%82%8B%E7%90%86%E7%94%B1%E3%81%AF%E3%80%81%E3%83%99%E3%83%88%E3%83%8A%E3%83%A0%E3%81%AE%E8%B2%A7%E5%9B%B0\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The reason why Vietnamese women are taken away is poverty in Vietnam<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Caitlin Wiesen, Country Director of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), pointed out that Vietnam is the source of labor exploitation, sexual exploitation and forced marriage. In Wiesen&#039;s view, the northern regions of Vietnam are home to many people who want to earn money because of poverty, low education and few jobs. Some of them are fascinated by the rewards of brokers and cooperate in human trafficking as malicious agents, causing a lot of damage. Agents pointed out that some people spend weeks or months and hours approaching the subject to traffick.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anyone, from teens to the elderly, at any age, can reach out to traffickers. Before moving to China, they will take a vacation with the subject and solicit them as a trip by forming a relationship with a trafficker.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the case of Lin, in Bac Ha, one of Vietnam&#039;s poorest Lao Cai regions, agriculture is the main livelihood of the villagers. Per capita income in the region was about half of Vietnam&#039;s average annual income, and many villagers were stuck in a cycle of poverty. It was her father who saved Rin, who was stuck in all humiliation. Rin&#039;s father was able to search for Rin for years after Rin disappeared and finally locate and rescue him in Yunnan, China.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Besides Rin, it is the experience of a Gann who was kidnapped at the age of 16.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Gann was sometimes kidnapped when he went to a local market in Vietnam. By the time Gann woke up, he suspected that it was already in China and that Gann was put to sleep by medicine. The Gann cried and refused to get married every day, but the Chinese threatened to sell it as an organ if they didn&#039;t get married.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Looking back on those days, Gann states that he will never see his real family again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fortunately, Gann was rescued by a Vietnamese youth who felt sorry for Gann. The young man rescued Gan by selling his motorcycle and giving money to the kidnapper in exchange for his release. By the time Gann was rescued, five years had already passed since he was kidnapped.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E3%83%99%E3%83%88%E3%83%8A%E3%83%A0%E4%BA%BA%E3%81%AE%E5%A5%B3%E6%80%A7%E3%81%8C%E9%80%A3%E3%82%8C%E5%8E%BB%E3%82%89%E3%82%8C%E3%82%8B%E3%82%82%E3%81%86%E4%B8%80%E3%81%A4%E3%81%AE%E7%90%86%E7%94%B1%E3%80%81%E4%B8%AD%E5%9B%BD%E3%81%AE%E4%B8%80%E4%BA%BA%E3%81%A3%E5%AD%90%E6%94%BF%E7%AD%96\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another reason why Vietnamese women are taken away, China&#039;s one-child policy<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although the two girls were able to return to their hometowns, many of the victims would still be trapped in the hinterland of China. In terms of gender imbalance, cultural pressure, and wealthier than Vietnam, China has taken strong steps to make Vietnamese women brides.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Chinese government has pursued a one-child policy since 1979, resulting in an imbalance in which the male population is larger than the female population. These problems have arisen as a result of seeking women from neighboring countries such as Vietnam.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E3%83%99%E3%83%88%E3%83%8A%E3%83%A0%E3%81%B8%E6%88%BB%E3%81%A3%E3%81%A6%E3%81%8B%E3%82%89%E3%80%81%E5%91%A8%E5%9B%B2%E3%81%AE%E5%81%8F%E8%A6%8B%E3%81%A8%E3%81%AE%E6%88%A6%E3%81%84\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After returning to Vietnam, fighting the prejudices of the surroundings<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Michael Brosowski, founder of the Blue Dragon Children&#039;s Foundation, a Hanoi-based charity, is working to help victims.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many victims have to fight stigma from the community in addition to the painful experience. Victims have already endured great physical and mental distress. However, even if the victim returns to his family, she may not even be welcomed because of her stigma.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some in the community believe that the victims sold themselves. Even though Rin was able to return to his home from China, some people around him think that Rin chose to go to China.
