font-size: 18pt;\">Vietnam visa and foreign work permit procedures<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vietnam visa and work permit procedures are a complicated procedure to get started in Vietnam for the first time. This time, I will explain the procedure for a long-term stay in Vietnam and the points that foreigners should be aware of.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The number of skilled foreign workers coming to Vietnam is steadily increasing, exceeding 80,000 at the end of 2018. The reason foreigners come to Vietnam is, in the case of foreign contractor employees, to set up a project for direct investment in Vietnam (FDI). So far, we have welcomed foreigners from more than 100 countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E5%A4%96%E5%9B%BD%E4%BA%BA%E3%81%AE%E9%9B%87%E7%94%A8%E3%81%AE%E8%A8%B1%E5%8F%AF\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Permission to hire foreigners<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vietnam-based companies are allowed to hire foreign human resources as managers, directors and specialists if local human resources are not sufficient for manufacturing and operating businesses. Unlike other Asian countries, Vietnam representative offices can also hire staff directly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When hiring a foreign employee, the company must publicly announce the job offer to Vietnamese job seekers in Vietnamese newspapers and online portals 30 days before hiring.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a proof that foreign talent is needed, so we will open the job to Vietnamese. After that, it is necessary to fill in the application form for the work permit of the foreign employee.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E3%83%99%E3%83%88%E3%83%8A%E3%83%A0_%E3%83%93%E3%82%B6%E3%81%AE%E7%A8%AE%E9%A1%9E\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vietnam visa type<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To enter Vietnam, foreigners need a visa issued by the Vietnamese embassy or consulate. Citizens of ASEAN countries receive a visa valid for 15 to 30 days. We also accept online visas valid for 30 days in 80 countries (e-visa policy).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For long-term stays in Vietnam, foreigners must apply for a 3-month visa and a multi-visa that allows multiple entry.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E5%8A%B4%E5%83%8D%E8%A8%B1%E5%8F%AF%E8%A8%BC%E3%81%AE%E6%89%8B%E7%B6%9A%E3%81%8D%E3%81%A8%E8%A6%81%E4%BB%B6\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Work permit procedures and requirements<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/asia-prop.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/vietnam-visa.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/asia-prop.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/vietnam-visa.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"840\" height=\"550\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A work permit is required to work in Vietnam for more than 3 months. The employer must apply to the Ministry of Occupational Safety and Health (MoLISA) before foreign workers can start hiring. It can take up to 10 business days to create.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If a work permit is not required, you must notify the Ministry of Occupational Safety and Health at least 7 days before working in Vietnam. Currently, foreign work permits are valid for up to 3 years and cannot be renewed. If you work in Vietnam without a work permit, you may be punished or repatriated within 15 days. In addition, employers may be subject to penalties of up to US $ 3,300 and may be ordered to suspend operations for three months.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E3%83%86%E3%83%B3%E3%83%9D%E3%83%A9%E3%83%AA%E3%83%BC%E3%83%BB%E3%83%AC%E3%82%B8%E3%83%87%E3%83%B3%E3%82%B9%E3%82%AB%E3%83%BC%E3%83%89%EF%BC%88%E4%B8%80%E6%99%82%E5%9C%A8%E7%95%99%E8%A8%B1%E5%8F%AF%E8%A8%BC%EF%BC%89\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Temporary Residence Card (Temporary Residence Permit)<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Temporary Stay Card (TRC) can be granted to foreigners and senior managers who hold a work permit valid for one year or more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The TRC is issued by the Immigration Bureau and is valid for 1 to 5 years depending on the type of visa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">People who have been granted a TRC can enter and leave Vietnam without a visa within the validity period of the TRC. It usually takes 5 business days from application to issuance, but fees vary from $ 60 to $ 100, depending on the duration of the card.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E6%B0%B8%E4%BD%8F%E6%A8%A9%E3%82%AB%E3%83%BC%E3%83%89%EF%BC%88PRC%EF%BC%89\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Permanent Resident Card (PRC)<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Vietnam, foreigners with legal residence can also apply for a Permanent Resident Card (PRC).
