The Ministry of Industry and Trade has released a third draft to encourage the development of solar power projects. This demonstrates the government&#039;s continued commitment to promoting renewable energy projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf the government takes a proactive stance and supports investment in renewable energy, it will become a very attractive investment target for overseas investors,\u201d said Wyatt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In one notable project this year, Vietnam&#039;s BIM Group partnered with the Philippines&#039; AC Energy to develop BIM solar power in Ninh Thuan province. The solar power generation system will consist of three facilities, with a power generation capacity of 330MW, making it the largest mega solar power generation system in Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wyatt went on to say:<br>\u201cVietnam&#039;s current power grid is under heavy stress.Energy prices are expected to rise as demand increases, especially in major cities and industrial areas.Such alternative investments are important for Vietnam&#039;s growth. This is the same level as supplying electricity to over 900 buildings.<br>Atlanta, USA, has pledged to achieve 100% renewable energy by 2035.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Across Asia, governments and developers are steadily investing in sustainable construction and renewable energy to reduce wasteful energy consumption. China is investing heavily to catch up with Singapore, which is leading the way in renewable energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E3%83%99%E3%83%88%E3%83%8A%E3%83%A0%E3%81%AE%E3%82%A8%E3%83%8D%E3%83%AB%E3%82%AE%E3%83%BC%E3%82%84%E9%9B%BB%E5%8A%9B%E4%B8%8D%E8%B6%B3\"><\/span>Energy and electricity shortage in Vietnam<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Energy and electricity shortages are major problems in Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Investment in renewable energy is being promoted as one of the solutions.
