Although ASEAN and China agreed on the DOC the Declaration on the Conduct in 2002, China&#039;s expansion into the ocean is expanding year by year, and a more legally binding Code of Conduct (COC) is being formulated. I decided to aim for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>ASEAN-China Senior Executive Board Meeting on DOC of South China Sea Action Held in China <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On May 17th and 18th, in Hangzhou, China, 10 ASEAN countries and China held the 17th ASEAN-China Senior Executive Board Meeting on the Implementation of DOC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vietnam&#039;s Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung avoided mentioning difficult South China Sea issues and urged both ASEAN and China to work on the South China Sea Code of Conduct (COC). We called on all Parties to fully implement the South China Sea Parties Declaration (DOC) and not to militarize and complicate the situation.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vietnam&#039;s Foreign Minister Dung expressed concern about the occupation of the South China Sea by militarization, contrary to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, UNCLOS. He said military control would affect the maintenance of peace and stability in the region and COC negotiations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants attending the conference emphasized the importance of complying with the DOC for safety, freedom of navigation and ensuring air defense at sea. Vietnam&#039;s Foreign Minister Dung urged ASEAN and China to develop an effective code of conduct for COC in line with international law, including UNCLOS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E5%8D%97%E3%82%B7%E3%83%8A%E6%B5%B7%E8%A1%8C%E5%8B%95%E8%A6%8F%E7%AF%84_COC_%E3%81%AE%E7%AD%96%E5%AE%9A%E3%82%92%E3%80%80%E4%B8%AD%E5%9B%BD\"><\/span>China Sea Code of Conduct COC Formulation<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This time, we covered Vietnam&#039;s coverage, but in November last year, the Chinese side also announced that it would formulate a COC over the next three years.
