Development Bank ADB predicts Vietnam&#039;s economic growth rate (2019) to be 6.8%<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p> The Asian Development Bank (ADB), which aims to promote economic growth, economic cooperation and the development of developing member countries in Asia and the Pacific, has forecast Vietnam&#039;s growth rate of 6.8% in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> 67 countries around the world participate in ADB, and the world&#039;s three largest rating agencies, Moody&#039;s Investors, Fitch Ratings, and S&amp;P Global, rank among the top rating agencies along with the World Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). I&#039;m here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the annual report of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Vietnam&#039;s economic growth over the next two years will remain steady, with growth of 6.8% in 2019 and 6.7% in 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eric Sidgwick, ADB Country Director for Vietnam, said Vietnam&#039;s economic performance reached a high level in 2018, driven by strong exports and domestic demand, with export-oriented manufacturing, foreign direct investment and strong domestic demand. Keeping key interest rates on hold in 2019 will ease upward pressure on the Vietnamese dong and inflation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E3%83%99%E3%83%88%E3%83%8A%E3%83%A0%E3%81%AE%E8%B2%BF%E6%98%93%E3%81%AB%E3%81%A4%E3%81%84%E3%81%A6%E3%80%81_ADB%E3%81%AF%E4%B8%96%E7%95%8C%E7%B5%8C%E6%B8%88%E3%81%A8%E7%B1%B3%E4%B8%AD%E8%B2%BF%E6%98%93%E6%88%A6%E4%BA%89%E3%81%AE%E5%BD%B1%E9%9F%BF%E3%82%92%E5%8F%97%E3%81%91%E3%82%8B\"><\/span>On Vietnam trade, ADB hit by global economy and US-China trade war <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The ADB annual report mentions the impact on the Vietnamese economy due to the global economic slowdown. Vietnam&#039;s economy is highly dependent on the Trade Commission, with the value of trade reaching twice the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Moreover, both the US and China are Vietnam&#039;s major trading partners, raising concerns about the impact of a US-China trade war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E3%83%99%E3%83%88%E3%83%8A%E3%83%A0%E3%81%AE%E4%B8%AD%E5%B0%8F%E4%BC%81%E6%A5%AD%E5%95%8F%E9%A1%8C%E3%81%A8%E4%BB%8A%E5%BE%8C%E3%81%AE%E6%88%90%E9%95%B7\"><\/span>Problems of SMEs in Vietnam and future growth <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It points out that Vietnam&#039;s participation in the global value chain is mainly due to foreign companies. The domestic private sector is predominantly small and medium-sized, and very few have effectively embraced inward foreign direct investment due to limited access to finance, lack of skills, and the ability to purchase and adapt new technologies.
